Watou Churchyard
Watou was far behind the front during the First World War and served as a "rest sector" where army camps and temporary barracks for Belgian refugees could be found. The relationship between the local Belgian population and the British military was often difficult. To the north of the church in Watou there are eleven Brits and a Canadian, while at the south of the church, Belgian soldiers are buried.
